Follow these steps to include a cover letter with your application:

  • After logging in, go to My Career Tools.
  • Go to Cover Letter and Attachments.
  • Click Add Attachment.
  • The system will guide you through the process of attaching a cover letter.

Note: Your cover letter will remain in the system and will automatically attach to all applications until you delete it. To delete a cover letter or other document:

  • After logging in, go to My Career Tools.
  • Go to Cover Letter and Attachments.
  • Click trash can icon in the Delete column.

After You Submit an Application

How can I make sure that my application was submitted successfully?
When your application has been submitted successfully, you will receive a message indicating that your application has been received. If you do not receive this message, you may have saved the application rather than submitting it. To view your submission status:

  • Go to My Career Tools
  • Under Applications in Process, the Status column will indicate "Applied" or "Not Applied."
  • To complete the application process for a saved application, click on the link for the position name and then hit Submit.

How can I update an application that I've submitted?
Once your application has been submitted, it cannot be modified.

How can I check the status of my application?
You can check the status of your application through the Lexington Jobs website. If the position is still posted and you have met the application requirements, you are still a candidate for the position. If the position is no longer posted, that means it has been filled. Human Resources is unable to answer individual questions about application status.

Can I speak with a recruiter directly?
Due to the high number of applications received by the Medical Center, our recruiters are unable to speak with job seekers individually.

How will I know if a position has been filled?
If the position is no longer on the Lexington Jobs website, that means it has been filled.

How long will my resume remain active?
Your resume will remain in our system indefinitely, until you delete it. However, your resume will not be reviewed for future positions outside the application process.
