Clyde Bristow, RN, MSN, CENP Senior Director, Nursing Services/Chief Nursing Officer
Clyde Bristow, RN, MSN, CENP serves as senior Director of Nursing and Clinical Services / Chief Nursing Officer. Clyde joined Lexington Medical Center in March of 2010 as Director of Critical Care and Medical Surgical Nursing. In March of 2013, he was promoted to his current role and has responsibility for the division of Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Respiratory, Physical Therapy and Education.
Prior to joining Lexington Medical Center, he was employed by Rowan Regional Medical Center in 2007 as Director of Critical Care. From 1989 to 2007 Clyde worked at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Risk Management/Security, Emergency Department, and Cardiac Services. He was staff nurse for several years in the coronary care unit. His leadership path started as an assistant manager of the coronary care unit, unit manager of the coronary care unit, telemetry unit, cardiac interventional unit and trauma unit; usually leading several units at once.
Clyde has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Forsyth Technical Community College. He completed his Bachelor Degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in May of 2005 and subsequently completed his Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in December of 2006. Clyde is a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice by the American Organization of Nurse Executives where he is a member.
Clyde is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honor society and American Association of Critical Care Nurses. He serves on the Davidson County Community College Nursing Advisory committee and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Nursing Administration advisory committee.
