CPR for Infant and Child-May 2, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Education Center: This important class prepares participants in the proper methods of performing CPR on an infant or small child. The CPR class is open to parents-to-be, grandparents or anyone who will be caring for an infant or toddler. Registration for both the childbirth eductation series and the CPR class is required. For Ladies Only-Wednesday, May 14, Noon, J. Smith Young YMCA, 119 W. 3rd Ave, Lexington, NC: Throughout life, women's health needs are unique. From the beginning of womanhood through childbirth and menopause, there are many stages in a woman's life, each requiring special attention. Join Dr Merritt King and Tiffeny Carroll, OB/Gyns with WFBH-Women's Services Lexington and North Davidson, as they discuss what every woman needs to know to stay healthy. Look Good, Feel Better-Thursday, May 23, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.: The American Cancer Society offers a FREE beauty makeover for female patients undergoing cancer treatment. Each participant will receive a make-up kit worth over $200. Classes to be held at Carolina Cancer Services in Lexington.To register call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-395-5665.

You may want to enroll in Lexington Medical Center's ADA-recognized Diabetes Self-Management program which is designed to help those diagnosed with diabetes gain a better understanding of the disease, its effect on the body, and the importance of self-care.
