Steve Snelgrove, president
Steve Snelgrove is president of Lexington Medical Center. He joined Lexington Medical Center's staff in 2011 serving as Chief Operating Officer. Snelgrove's career to date spans 30 years of progressive health system management.
He joined Wake Forest Baptist Health in 1989 as Director of Facilities Planning and Construction and was promoted to Vice President of Operations in 1993. His management experience at the Medical Center includes clinical professional and support services, physician relations and serving as interim Vice President of Human Resources.
His accomplishments include implementation of Six Sigma process management, which contributed $25 million toward margin improvement in its first five years. He led the development of service line management structure for Neurosciences, Heart & Vascular, Musculoskeletal, Rehabilitation and Aging.
He earned his MBA at the University of Hartford and his BS in Health Systems Management at the University of Connecticut.
