Danny Squires, M.B.A., C.P.A., joined Lexington Medical Center in 1996 as controller and was named vice president and chief financial officer in 2007. He assumed additional duties as vice president and chief financial officer at Davie Medical Center in 2010.
Prior to joining the hospital in 1996, he was Manager of Operations for both the Randolph Telephone Membership Corporation and Randolph Telephone Company. Before that, he was employed for thirteen years by Turlington and Company, LLP, the certified public accounting firm in Lexington that performed the hospital’s annual independent audit.
He completed undergraduate studies in business administration at Appalachian State University and received his graduate degree in business administration from Winston-Salem State University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Danny moved to Lexington right out of college in 1982, and continues to be active in a host of community and civic organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the J. Smith Young YMCA, the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Life Center of Lexington. He is a member of the Lexington Kiwanis Club, Gideon’s International, and the Eagles Education Foundation. In previous years, his civic involvement included the Lexington Lions Club, the United Way of Davidson County, and Davidson Medical Ministries Clinic among others.
